3550 Dietrich was born in Alfeld, Lower Saxony, Germany. We do not know the exact date, however as he was already a priest in 1411, we can assume that he was about 25 years old at that time (including around five years study to become a priest) putting his date of birth around 1386.
Church records from the Magdeburg Province show him being appointed:
• A Canon (Priest) of St. Matthäi on June 2, 1411.
• A Canon (Priest) of Magdeburg Cathedral, 1412-1448.
• Archbishop official and vicar general of Magdeburg Cathedral, 1425-1427.
• Through papal commission a Canon (Priest) of St Nicholas Cathedral & Monastery, 1427-1448.
He matriculated in the winter semester of 1427 at the law faculty of the University of Erfurt and in 1433 at the University of Leipzig.
He died in 1448 and has two memory dates listed, which we assume to be his death and burial dates. The first in Stendal Cathedral on March 7th and the second in Magdeburg Cathedral on March 10th.

If you look around on this page, you will also find the postcode for the municipal council of the political community: Urząd Gminy Jeżewo ul. Świecka 12 86-131 Jeżewo

if you now enter postcode and city on Google you will land on this map:

there you can see that it is a few kilometers north of Schwetz, maybe there was a renaming of the district or a new assignment, map master puts it this way:

It is probably the same place as the circle called itself when, I cannot say.

In any case, there was a Catholic Church there by the end of the 13th century, if I see that correctly.

3692 From Barbara Rosentreter [I1515]

I know he was a merchant and he made his way from Bavaria to Kaliningrad. I dare say he came from Bavaria.

That was the word of mouth in my family.

But I don't know if it's true.

It was also a family tradition (among Catholics) that the eldest son was sent to a theological seminary. It is very visible in the families who lived in Kosznajderi (Koschneiderie).

Rog If this is the case and he was an established merchant before arriving in Koschneiderei he would have had to be about 30 years of age when he married.

Hilda Rosentreter b abt 1879 she came to the United States in 1895. Ship 'Canadia' from Hamburg to Quebec Nov 8 1895. She married Emil Yahnke (Janke) April 16 1898 Sparta, Monroe, Wisconsin, USA. She had one child Albert born April 16 1899. After that it is fuzzy. According to famiily stories Hilda didnt like it here and went home and Bertha was sent in her place. 3711 From Joe Gross

My father, Janet Lynne Rosentreter's first husband, Joseph Alvin Gross Sr., was born on May 15, 1937, in Minneapolis Minnesota. My mother, Janet Lynne Rosentreter, later Janet Gross and now Janet Bott, was born January 14, 1940, in Oakland, California. I am their oldest child. I, Joseph Alvin Gross Jr., was born May 19, 1962, in Wurzburg, in what was then West Germany. My sister Jennifer Lynne Gross, who is on your site, was born December 2, 1963, in Libertyville, Illinois (Lake County). Pretty sad that I do not remember the correct spelling of my brother Jeff's full first or middle name, but his last name is Gross, and he was born in Des Plaines, Illinois (Cook County) on January 30, 1968. My youngest brother, Jason Anton Gross, was born May 15, 1972, in Park Ridge, Illinois (Cook County). We grew up in the Cook County part of Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Buffalo Grove is about 30 mile northwest of Chicago, and is in both Cookc and Lake counties. The Cook County part is the older part of town. My parents grew up mostly in Lake County, Illinois, in the towns of Fox Lake, Long Lake, and McHenry, which is actually in McHenry County. I will get back with you with Jeff's correct full first and middle name spellings.

April 24, 1953 -August 27, 2020

H. Wayne Rosentreter, 67, of Clermont, FlA., entered through Heaven's Gates on Thursday, Aug. 27.

He was born April 24, 1953 in LaPorte. Wayne graduated from LaPorte High School and received two degrees in Pastoral Ministry and Christian Education from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

In 1972, he married the love of his life, Barbara, who survives him. Wayne is also survived by son, Josh Rosentreter; daughter, Beth (Matt) Irvin; grandson, Isaac Rosentreter; granddaughters, Alysa Kaminskas and Jennifer Irvin; sister, Sharon (Bob) Reuer; brothers, Sonny (Joanne) Theobald, and Ed (Becky) Hildreth, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Roberta Rosentreter, brother, Alan Theobald; sister, Nancy (Dale) Owens; and birth mother, Mary Jane (Rosentreter) Theobald.

Wayne was well-known for his love of Christ and his family. Returning from Moody Bible to his hometown of LaPorte, he inflicted his love for Christ on all who knew him. He served a few congregations throughout his pastoral career in LaPorte before moving to warehouse management.

He was full of love, life and laughter. There was never a dull moment around him; he was a combination of Billy Graham, Bill Murray, David Letterman, and Curly Howard.

Wayne loved to drive and was an expert at planning road trips, in which he was the self-proclaimed tour guide for his family and friends. He was a NASA loving, Lionel train collecting, drum beating kind of guy, who always enjoyed watching da Bears, da Cubs, and da Bulls. Most of all, he was a family man who loved God. Everyone who remains will miss him dearly.

Due to the current, unprecedented guidelines limiting public gatherings because of the COVID-19 virus, a Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.

Please check his public Facebook page for more information as it is determined.

His Facebook page will remain open and all are urged to share memories, photos and final words there.

Rosentreter Martin 1652 Schulmeister, x Marianna: diese M. Rozentreders Tp. 2. April 1651 und oft, zuletzt 25. Aug. 1656. Rozentreder Georg (Schulmeister) Tp. 2. März 1681. x S 25. Juli 1681 Agnes: Anna Mai 1683; Paul 6. Jan. 1685; Gertrud 4. März 1687; Catharina 23. April 1690; Georg 20. Jan. 1692; Peter 27

That means Marianna Rosentreter is said to have been godmother (Tp = Taufpatin) at a baptism on this date. A look at the baptismal register for Lichnau shows that she becomes godmother from June 1651, a little later. But that original date was obviously mistaken for the marriage date by someone.

Can you give me the background on the origin of Martin Rosentreters jouney from Bavaria (text or report or something)? Do you know from which place in Bavaria he came from?

Is there actually any knowledge about the DNA data of the descendants of Franz R. (born around 1762) about which we had exchanged some time ago. It would be great if we could find a connection about it.

If I can help you in any way, please let me know.

Many greetings to "down-under"

Uli Bonin
