38, of Springfield, formerly of Carlinville, died
Saturday at his residence.
He was born Oct. 25, 1947, in Carlinville the son of Clarence P. and Annette Howard Rosentreter.
Mr. Rosentreter was in charge of the exhibits section at the Illinois State Museum in Springfield.
Active in various regional and national museum organizations
Mr. Rosentreter had been associated with the museum since 1972. He was on the board of directors of Big Brother/Big Sister of Sangamon County and was a big brother for six years.
He was nominated volunteer of the year in 1985. He was a member of St. Agnes Church.
Surviving are his parents
Mr. and . Clarence P. Rosentreter of Carlinville; two brothers, Ted of Olathe, Kan., and Curtis of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, . Keith (Ann) Woods of Carlinville; three nieces; one nephew; several aunts and uncles.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Church in Carlinville, with the Rev. James Newman officiating.
Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery.
