JUNE ROSENTRETER
OKOLONA - Eva June Martin Rosentreter, 71, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Oak Tree Plantation after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 27, 1939, in Lee County to B.B. and Elizabeth Clayton Martin. A registered nurse, she worked for the Monroe County Health Dept, State Board of Health and worked 18 years at Okolona Community Hospital and Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home. She was a member of Central Grove Baptist Church, where she was active in the Acteens, first place class. She enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, oil painting and making and painting wood crafts. She was a devoted caregiver for her family who loved and adored her.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Holland Funeral Directors, Okolona Chapel, with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 2 p.m. until service time Thursday.
She is survived by four daughters; Janet Ballard (Charles) of Wren, Susan Hughes (Mark) of Wren, Linda Adams (Richard) of Amory and Jennifer Nicholson (Darel ) of Nettleton; her grandchildren, Rachel Hughes, Andy Hughes (Beth), John Blissard, James Ballard, Patrick Ballard (Tina), Olivia Mink (Dewayne), Justin Rosentreter, Lacy Rutledge, Glen Nicholson, Kimberly Nicholson, Kaylee Adams and Kaleb Adams; nine great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Frost, Preston Atwood, Austen Blissard, Victoria Ballard, Eddie Ballard, Zack Ballard, Claire Nicholson, Jacob Nicholson and A.J. Hughes, her sister; Linda Joyce Martin of Santorium; two brothers, Earl Martin (Sharon) of Aberdeen and Prentice Martin of Wren; and a sister-in-law, Carol Lewis of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adolph Rosentreter; and a son, Eddie Rosentreter.
