Gottfried Rosentreter, a 23-year-old worker here, came.
In the presence of witnesses: Adolf Nulish, 36 years old and Ivan Shaks 34 years old, both local weavers, he showed us a female baby born in Lodz on November 08 (20) this year at 1 am from his wife Rosalia ne Hirth 19 years old. At holy baptism performed today, this baby was given the name EMMA, and the witnesses mentioned above and Wilhelmina Schaks were the successors. This act was signed only by the pastor because of the illiteracy of the father and the witnesses.

This happened in Lodz on November 28 (December 10) 1880 at 3 pm. They came: Gottfried Rosentreter worker 23 years old and Christian Bechtod 38 years old, both local residents and informed us that TODAY at 12 noon in Lodz died Emma Rosentreter 3 weeks old, born in Lodz, the daughter of the aforementioned Gottfried Rosentreter and his wife Rosalia nee Hep. This act was read aloud and signed only by me and the second witness, since my father is illiterate.
