Ethel M. Rosentreter, 86, Michigan City, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday (March 15, 2004) at Arbors of Michigan City.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Tracy Cemetery, Hamlet, Ind., with the Rev. Tim Williams officiating. There will be no visitation. Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, handled arrangements.
She was born Feb. 24, 1918, in McGoffin County, Ky., to Dona Allen and Polly (Joseph) Lutzy. On June 29, 1974, in Elizabethtown, Ky., she married Walter Rosentreter, who died June 12, 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Michaels, Union Mills, and Mary Rose (Jim) Mardis, Elizabethtown, Ky.; two sons, Clyde C. (Linda) Bradley, Michigan City, and Garland Y. (Barbara) Bradley, South Bend; two brothers, Otto (Betty) Allen, Hamlet, and Henry J. Shead, Murray, Ky.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Also preceding . Rosentreter in death were two brothers, Otis Allen and Ray Allen; her first husband, Clyde Bradley; and her second husband, Milton Greed.
. Rosentreter worked in food preparation for 16 years at American Home Foods. She retired in 1980. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsbury.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Northern Indiana Chapter, South Bend, Ind.

. Ethel M. Rosentreter, 86, of 1101 E. Coolspring Ave., Michigan City, IN., died Monday March 15, 2004, at 5:45 a.m. at the Arbors Nursing Center, Michigan City, IN.
She was born February 24, 1918 in Magoffin Co., Kentucky to Dona and Polly (Joseph) Allen, and had lived in the LaPorte area most of her life.
. Rosentreter worked at American Home Foods for 16 years and retired in 1980 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsbury, IN.
On June 29, 1974 in Elizabethtown, KY, she married Walter Rosentreter, who preceded in death June 12, 1986.
