Ronald E. Ploeger, Sr., age 62, Hatley, died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on January 29, 1947 in Birnamwood, the son of the late George and Clara (Behn) Ploeger.
On June 17, 1972, he was united in marriage to Linda Rosentreter in Birnamwood. She survives.
Ronald was a newspaper carrier for the Wausau Daily Herald for over 16 years. He enjoyed fishing and flea markets.
Survivors include his wife Linda, Wausau; two sons, William Ploeger, Marshfield and Ronald (Kariann) Ploeger, Jr., Wausau; five grandchildren, William, Travis, Jason, Gabrielle and Dillan; one brother, LeRoy (Jane) Ploeger, Wausau and nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Louie.

Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood
Visitation:
Visitation from 9:30am untilthe time of services on Thursday at the church.
Service:
Funeral Service will be at 11:30am on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the First Congregational Church, Birnamwood.
