Regina M. Rosentreter, 88, of New Oxford, formerly of Gettysburg, entered into God's eternal care Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015.
Born Feb. 16, 1927 in Ottmachau, Germany she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ida (Geisler) Mueller. She was the wife of the late Julius F. Rosentreter who passed away January 23, 2001.
. Rosentreter was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg where she was a member of the church choir. She worked as a nurse's aid at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh for a number of years.
Regina is survived by her two daughters, Virginia J. Dixon and her husband Lawrence N. of Gettysburg, Linda R. Shinners and her husband Daniel J. of New Oxford; her grandchildren, Jessica M. R. Buczynski and her husband Michael, Victoria J. Dixon, Matthew R. Dixon, Danielle R. Shinners, as well as, Christopher Shinners and Matthew Shinners. She was preceded in death by her sister, Hildegard Bublitz; and her brother, Helmut Mueller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 25 West High St., Gettysburg with Fr. Daniel Richards Celebrant. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg.
