Irene L. Rosentrater, 78, of Tanglewood Manor, formerly of Clarendon, Pa., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
She was born December 5, 1933 in Wrightsville, Pa., a daughter of the late Glenn and Alice Doty Fileger.
She was the widow of Floyd E. Rosentrater who passed away May 27, 1992.
Irene was a woman of faith, serving the Lord and serving others. She was a part of the Clarendon Church of God, which later became Faith Fellowship Church of God, where she served as church treasurer for many years. She also attended Zion Tabernacle and in recent years attended the Revolutionary Life Church in Jamestown. She enjoyed church activities, Bible studies and prayer meetings. Earlier in her life, she loved attending camp meetings and traveling throughout the United States.
Irene was a caretaker for several family members and friends in her own home. She will be remembered for putting others before herself. She also enjoyed baking and will always be known for her pies and baked goods.
She is survived by a daughter Carol Rosentrater Waterman of Jamestown, NY, three grandchildren Scott (Michelle) Waterman, Jason Waterman and fiance Jayla Warner all of Jamestown and Pamela (Anthony) Hanes of Wayland, Mi., as well as several greatgrandchildren and her sister Geraldine Robbins of Warren, Pa.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Edward Rosentrater, a brother Arthur Fileger and a sister Mildred Fileger.
